Saturday, August 24th, Consir Thot is bringing Happy Nappy Day/Poets In the Park to Reservoir Park in Harrisburg, PA. This event will be hosted by Jubair Yother, and yours truly, Maria James-Thiaw. There will be a variety of artists on tap from rappers to poets and even a fashion show.
I know Glori Morris from York will be in the house, my dad Richard C. James III will represent and many others.
This event is a celebration of African American beauty and culture. I’m remembering the days of the African Family Festival in the park. The vendors, the energy, the love – I miss those days. Come on Harrisburg! Let’s do it again.
